Join our team as a Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Regulatory and make a significant impact on regulatory compliance and quality assurance in the cosmetics industry!


As the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Regulatory, you’ll be responsible for ensuring USA regulatory compliance and overseeing quality assurance while collaborating cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves providing regulatory direction, acting as a liaison with our top USA customers, and leading and mentoring Quality and Regulatory team members.


IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:


Regulatory Compliance

  • Lead, monitor, and ensure compliance with USA regulations (FDA, OTC, MOCRA, EPA, CFR, etc.), guidelines, and standards for cosmetics, components, personal accessories, OTC, and other formula products.
  • Define regulatory requirements and ensure product and supplier compliance.
  • Oversee regulatory submissions, filings, and communications with regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring preparedness and compliance.

Quality Assurance

  • Support QA team in creating detailed specifications for suppliers, aligned with our customer requirements.
  • Communicate with clients and suppliers on all aspects of testing, identify items that need testing, arrange testing and analyze reports.
  • Monitor Quality Control teams on finished products. Set quality standards and metrics, monitor defect levels, support repairs, and manage customer complaints.
  • Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Mentor team members, setting clear objectives and expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Product Developers, Project Managers, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure quality and regulatory alignment.
  • Participate in product development and launch activities, providing regulatory and quality input.

Risk Management

  • Assess and mitigate risk related to quality and regulatory compliance, and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that risk assessments are conducted for new products, processes, and changes.

Job requirements

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality control and regulatory affairs within the cosmetics industry.
  • Understanding of cosmetics in the North American, EU & Canada markets is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, ISO).
  • Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, cGMP).
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g. ASQ or Six Sigma), HACCP, and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certifications is a plus.
