From concept and design to getting products on shelves and online, we can support retailers, brands, and wholesalers with everything they need to get ready for retail.
We are currently looking for a Product Developer (Bags/Cut & Sew Accessories) to join our team where you will work cross functionally with our Sales team and suppliers to create specific products in the beauty world.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Design and produce cut and sew (soft lines) accessories and bags that align with functional needs and specifications.
Support clients ranging from multiple teams and business units.
Conduct market research to identify emerging seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and product categories.
Create detailed tech packages for overseas partners to guide product development, effectively communicating the design vision to ensure accurate execution.
Evaluate prototype samples to ensure they meet specifications. Provide clear feedback on development samples and relay notes to vendors for necessary adjustments.
Source and vet vendors compatible with production and regulatory requirements.
Negotiate price, quality, delivery and payment terms with vendors.
Qualify vendors through specific approval process with Operations and QA to mitigate risk.
Confirm production timelines from vendors and communicate to Project Manager to create timelines.
Complete and present costing sheet per project for approval.
Manage/Update development tracker and communicate latest project updates with team during weekly development meeting.
Job requirements
ABOUT YOU:
1 to 2 years in Product Development/Sourcing in Accessories/ Bags or relative field
Understanding of design principals, basic measuring, fabrications, trims, and overall construction of soft goods.
Project planning experience and have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Previous experience working with international factories and vendors
Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Wrike, and Netsuite is an asset
