Job description
ABOUT US
With a global team of beauty experts and a distinctly personal approach, IBG empowers all its clients – from established beauty brands to first-time private label retailers – with strategic partnerships that bring visions to life, and products seamlessly to market.
Consisting of three key brands - FASTEN Packaging, Orchard Custom Beauty, and Roberts Beauty - IBG helps businesses create quality beauty products. From concept and design to getting products on shelves and online, we can support retailers, brands, and wholesalers with everything they need to get ready for retail.
IBG is in search of a Junior Industrial Designer who is passionate about design in the beauty packaging space. The ideal candidate should have a sense of curiosity, collaborative spirit, and positive attitude.
Curious - You often find yourself lost in beauty/retail store aisles observing new packaging and innovative gestures. Our ideal candidate will look deep within what drives the aesthetic and function of beauty packaging on the market.
Collaborative – You openly share your new ideas with others and are very receptive to different types of feedback. We win as one team and use each designer’s unique point of view to help better inform our design decisions.
Positive Attitude – Industrial design in beauty packaging has it’s own unique obstacles. The ideal candidate will remain positive when presented with design challenges during the packaging design development process.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Brainstorm new innovative beauty packaging designs with a cross functional-collaborative team.
Sketch and produce 3D mockups and present to internal teams and in client meetings.
Execute your own design research and beauty brand analysis.
Closely collaborate with engineering during design development stages.
Create 3D printed parts for internal evaluation and client presentations.
Maintain awareness of design trends and influences in the beauty packaging space and other industrials.
