We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Team, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Accounting. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and supports strategic business objectives through effective leadership, process improvements, and stakeholder collaboration.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Manage month-end closing activities and ensure timely submission of financials data (P&L, B/S, Cash Flow, Intercompany Charges) in OneStream.
Support BU Controller in validating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Generate monthly financial reports and reconcile intercompany balances.
Prepare and analyze variance reports between Actuals, Forecast and Budget P&L
Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews, identifying gaps in reconciliations.
Assist in preparing annual P&L and Balance Sheet Budgets.
Responsible for Fixed Assets management in NetSuite.
Participate in internal, external Audits; liaising with Auditors & providing documentation.
Responsible for monthly statutory Sales Tax filings (HST, UK & AUD VAT) and WSIB.
Oversee daily accounting activities, including AP and AR processes. Conduct weekly reviews with teams to monitor payables, receivables.
Review and approve vendor bills, journal entries in NetSuite.
Liaising with Factoring; responsible for weekly cash factoring submissions and reconciliations.
Monitor cash balances to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
Maintain alignment between OneStream and NetSuite reporting tools. Troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with NetSuite IT and Corporate Finance teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide management support and financial insights as required.
Participate in ad hoc projects related to process improvements in NetSuite or Tableau.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports (AP, AR, General Accountant) to ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct semi-annual and annual performance reviews. Hire and train Accounting staff as needed.
Job requirements
ABOUT YOU:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance. CPA designation preferred.
3-5 years of full cycle Accounting and FP&A experience, including Leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite) and reporting tools OneStream, Tableau.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
