What will you do as Account Manager Cosmetic Packaging? 

As an Account Manager Cosmetic Packaging, you’ll be the first point of contact for key accounts in the cosmetics packaging industry. You’ll take care of running projects and are responsible to create new business opportunities. You'll drive long-term commercial partnerships and lead all aspects of sales, account strategy, development, and execution — collaborating with internal teams to turn opportunities into results. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Building and maintaining strategic client partnerships 
    You will be the primary contact for brand owners and retailers in the (German) cosmetics market. By developing strong, trust-based relationships, you’ll help clients grow their brands by creating tailored packaging solutions with them — while ensuring alignment with Fasten’s commercial goals; 

  • Driving long-term account strategies and commercial growth 
    You take ownership of multi-year strategic plans for your key accounts, focusing on revenue growth, margin optimization, and continuous innovation. This includes managing commercial discussions, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations; 

  • Leading cross-functional project execution 
    From creating the opportunity with the customer, making the initial quote to first production delivery, you coordinate all stages of the project lifecycle. Working closely with teams like Project Management and Account Support, you ensure a smooth and timely execution of client projects;

  • Representing IBG externally and identifying new opportunities 
    You actively represent Fasten/IBG at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings. You also conduct market research and competitive analysis to spot trends and open doors to new business opportunities; 

  • Monitoring account performance and internal reporting 
    Using tools like Tableau and Click-up, you regularly analyze key account performance, identify bottlenecks or growth areas, and report your findings to management — ensuring transparency and strategic decision-making; 

  • Contributing to internal collaboration and continuous improvement 
    You help drive alignment across internal teams by fostering a "One Team" mindset. You also play an active role in improving processes, tools, and communication — helping the business scale efficiently and effectively.

  • 📍 Note: As of December 1, 2025, our new office will be located in Amsterdam Sloterdijk (3-minute walk from the station). 

  • We start with a temporary contract with the intention of a permanent position. 

Job requirements

Your profile: 

You’re commercially sharp, strategically strong, and able to build and grow long-term client relationships. You love collaboration, communicate with impact, and have a clear passion for beauty and packaging. 

 

You also have: 

  •  A solid educational foundation in business or a related field 
    You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a similar discipline, giving you the strategic and commercial background needed to operate at a senior level; 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience 
    With proven experience in sales, business development, or marketing — ideally in the beauty, packaging, or FMCG industry — you understand the dynamics of product lifecycles, client expectations, and competitive markets; 

  • Familiar with the (German) beauty market 
    You have insight into German consumer trends, retail channels, and key players in the beauty space. This regional knowledge enables you to better connect with clients and anticipate their needs. (Fluency in German is a strong plus.) ;

  • You’re commercially sharp and data-driven 
    You’re confident handling pricing, contract negotiations, and performance metrics. You work comfortably in Excel and preferably with tools like Tableau and Click-up to analyze sales and identify growth opportunities; 

  • You’re fluent in English and communicate with impact 
    You speak and write English at a professional level (minimum B2), allowing you to collaborate easily in our international environment. Additional languages, such as German, are a strong plus;

  • You’re strategic, hands-on, and client-focused 
    You combine long-term vision with day-to-day action. You’re proactive, solution-oriented, and highly organized — and you genuinely enjoy building strong, value-driven relationships with your clients.
